Autumn Negroni
A gin-led, stirred Negroni variation that splits its bitterness between Campari, Cynar and Fernet.
Go to the recipe ↓This Autumn Negroni keeps the Negroni's gin, sweet vermouth and Campari but abandons equal measures. Gin takes the largest pour, Campari drops to a small share, and Cynar, Fernet and a small measure each of orange and Peychaud's bitters fill out the bitter side. Beyond the usual Negroni bottles, you will need Cynar, Fernet and both bitters.

Method as published
- Fill a mixing glass with ice.
- Add the gin, Cynar, sweet vermouth, Fernet, Campari, orange bitters and Peychaud's Bitters.
- Stir firmly until the outside of the mixing glass is cold.
- Strain onto a single large ice cube in a rocks glass.
Garnish Twist a wide strip of orange peel over the drink to release its oils, then drop it into the glass.
- The two bitters are listed as approximately 1 ml each; the same page elsewhere calls this a dash of each.
- Fernet is listed generically, without a named brand.
- The source also suggests its own branded Negroni Campari glass; a rocks glass is the stated vessel in the method.
