Cable Car
Tony Abou-Ganim's shaken drink of spiced rum, lemon and curaçao, served in a cinnamon-sugar-rimmed cocktail glass.
Go to the recipe ↓Tony Abou-Ganim created the Cable Car as the signature cocktail of the Starlight Room in San Francisco. It is Captain Morgan spiced rum, lemon juice, curaçao and simple syrup, shaken and strained into a cocktail glass rimmed with cinnamon sugar and finished with an orange twist. Both versions below use the same liquid measures, so the rim mix is the only real decision. Punch mixes cinnamon and sugar 1:1. Frederic Yarm at Cocktail Virgin uses about 20:1 cane sugar to Vietnamese cinnamon, so his rim is mostly sugar.
